Your Truly Cindy, although it is true that communication is very important in all relationships, sometimes we forget how important silence is also. To be able to enjoy each others company without saying anything is very important also. Communication is more important when there are problems or disagreements in relationships. At that time it is important to be able to talk with each other in a mature and open minded frame of mind. So do not be concerned if there is nothing to be said at times and just enjoy each others company in silence. At times it is nice to just know that your significant other is there with you even if you are not talking. Doesn't mean that they are angry or anything, often times there is just nothing to say. Best of luck to you both.

Ask him why you guys dont talk like you used to? If there are silent moments it could be because you guys just are tired or something like that when you talk. Yes communication is the key to a good relationship without it it's impossible to know what is going on and if there's still the love there once was.

I do believe communication is key. Its important to talk about all aspects of your relationship I always think. Just try doing more fun things together. Also if things start to get awkward and you no longer have things to talk about maybe you are not exactly right for one another.

A site called Dating Training has given me a lot of helpful information on communication and other aspects of dating, etc. I put the link in the source box in case you are interested.

Good luck with your situation

It's true, but communication doesn't mean a constant stream of chatter. It means sharing your feeling, your likes and dislikes, and speaking up when something little bothers you, before it becomes something big. It means talking to each other when it matters. It means listening to what the other person is saying and taking it to heart. And with a good relationship, you can spend time together, each doing your own thing, and don't have to talk to each other. You can just enjoy being in the same room together, and occasionally just look up and smile at each other before going back to what you are doing.
