Honestly, there isn't really anything a 12 year old can do for a job... 12 year olds aren't supposed to work. I would never let a 12 year old babysit my son... It's just too young of an age, plain and simple. A 12 year old wouldn't know what to do in an emergency... they just don't have enough common sense or experience yet to be left unattended with children... I guess it would be different if she was babysitting these kids while her parents were also home or something but as far as leaving a child alone with a 12 year old... not a good idea. Why can't she ust ask her parents for an allowance in return for doing chores or yardwork?

If you lived in my neighborhood and were responsible I would pay you to wash my car every 2 weeks, bring in my trash can weekly before I get home, mow my yard, rake, keep my deck clean and wipe down outside furniture weekly. It is hard to find anyone who wants to do these things. Think up a few more ideas and make a flyer and attach to front doors, make them appealing and you can take on several customers. All of the above jobs are mostly at your convenience, just so they get done...once you prove that you are committed and a good worker, you may be asked to do more.

????..... save birthday money and other gift money.
You can't babysit because your only 12 and your parents can go to jail for living you in a house a lone so you should probably not be left a lone with kids.
You have to be at least 16 to work for any company like fast foods or in a stores.
I would not suggest lemonade stand unless its still hot where you live and you have a lot of people walking around your area on the daily basis.
I would not suggest cleaning someone house because most likely you will get paid less then expected and I don't know many people who would hire a 12 year old to clean their house or do yard work all year round. Plus that can be dangerous going into people homes.
I would not suggest dog walking because of the fact your only 12 and dogs can get out of control you never know.
Just do what most 12 year old kids do... wait till your old enough to get a job, which will be 16. and at 16 it is still hard to get a job.

I know a man who, when he was your age, took his parents' lawnmower out and mowed lawns for $5 a lawn. He carefully saved up his money and with the money bought a riding lawnmower with a snowplow attachment. Then he used the riding lawnmower to mow many, many more lawns, and he also plowed driveways in the winter, so he was working year round. Since he could mow so many lawns in a single weekend, he was able to make much more money, so much that he had bought himself a truck before he was old enough to drive it. He used to ride his riding lawnmower to school.
When he turned 18 he hired other teens and started a handyman business.

Around here, kids do most of the yard work. They get paid something like 10 to 15 dollars per yard, depending on size.

you can mow lawns, shovel drive ways (summer winter)
offer to do any yard work for people like raking and other stuff like that,
I used to make really good money mowing lawns when i was in HS.
if you have any older neighbors ask them if they need help cleaning the house of moving things for them, you could try to get a paper route or something like that too
