I do not think it is right, I believe if you choose not to work then you should not be abled to get assistance. I know everyone needs help every now and then, but some people just take advantage of the system.

I think there is way to much of it already! I find it rather insulting to know some law breaking alien climbed a fence, inner tube the Rio Grand, or dug a tunnel onto U.S. soil and now wants "hard working" Americans to foot the bill! The Mexican Government should be in the cross hairs of any future military deployments. They have no intentions on fixing a corrupt uneducated system of government that has placed a heavy burden on their own people. I can't fault someone for wanting to live in America, but lets be honest. Most Mexicans only want to make some cash and head back across the border to participate in some crop share, but now they'll actually own a stake. They have far less noble intentions then our European ancestors that actually gave two cents of being a "One America" learning language, and culture! Free health care is just another bad idea by some corrupt politician, and the sad thing is most Americans feel this will help us all! Go talk to a veteran who receives care that is either provided or managed by the Government, and tell me is this something we all should want to have? This is a great question, and I responded honestly, will the rest of you?

WHOA hold on there....First off who says women sit home and multiply and expect YOU to pay for it. Able bodied ANYONE should be working. And I noticed you said immigrants not Illegal immigrants.

Let's put it this way...people who work should be able to have healthcare in this country. I know people who've lost their homes because of medical bills. Just because you're healthy today doesn't mean you won't be drastically sick tomorrow keep that in mind when you bash a Healthcare Plan. Personally I'd rather have a few more tax dollars taken out of each check than pay the $987.00 a month I pay for Health Insurance for my family. Insurance is sky high and beyond some people's reach thanks to those who do go uninsured. It's a catch 22 for all of us.

I don't like ANY form of free healthcare.

Oh, and the little bit about women sitting at home - I guess you've never spent a day taking care of a family - women at home are hard working, paying taxes out of household income, and are law abiding. We're Americans contributing to the future of the country by raising our kids, the next generation of voters. I worked my butt of, and paid into the system for years, and saved my money so that I could be home to raise my children. And, I've never asked for a penny from the government, for anything. Sorry to go off a little, but that's what I think.

Most of you are a bunch of ignorants that are against the people; "criminals" as you said that probably built your own home.....In the first place I'm gonna educate you...illegal workers don't get free health care just for the simple reason that their employers dont give'em any benefits...and for not havin a SSN they don't get food stamps, coupons and so on....so pretty much they pay their visit to the doctor in case they need it and if they're starving...who cares!!!!probably a religious organization like the Salvation Army is all what they can count on...Read this articlehttp://www.socyberty.com/Sociology/The-Underlying-Truth-About-Latino-Illegal-Immigration----------.49811

I think reasonably-priced (not free) health care should be available to all.

I'm Canadian. We have so-called "free" health care for all. Some provinces charge monthly premiums. Others don't. That's not fair.

The plan covers doctor visits. Free. The plan covers hospitals and surgery. Free. Not dental--if your teeth are rotting out of your head and you have no money, too bad. Not glasses. Not medication.

Unless you're aborignal, poor, old, on welfare, a veteran, or have good employee benefits--you're "s'est fait fouri" as they say in Quebec. (I'd get reported if I said that in English).

My wife and I have been living in Taiwan for a few years now. As "green-carded' alien residents, we are entitled to National Health Insurance. I pay a reasonable monthly premium, and my employer pays a chunk. Unemployed people pay the employer's portion. The government pays the rest. We pay 10% of the cost of everything we use, and the plan covers:
- doctors
- hospitals
- dentists
- medications
- physiotherapy, and all other paramedical services.
- tradtional Chinese medicine
- accupuncture.

I got an infection in my eye recently. I went to the hospital, and within an hour I was seeing an eye specialist (not a resident or an intern or a GP), I was thoroughly examined, and on my way with my medications. All for a payment equal to about 8 US dollars.

So. Let me answer your question with a question. How can little old Taiwan, with 23 million people in a place the size of Vancouver Island, with earthquakes and typhoons and a bigger military than Canada and Chinese missiles pointed at us and a constant threat of invasion, do medical coverage BETTER than either my country or yours?

You answer that. I can't. it makes me too angry. However, you and I should be directing our anger where it belongs, not at the "immigrant, able bodied citizens, and women who sit at home". Your words. Let's face it, if the government gave you free stuff you'd take it too. Don't blame the recipients. It ain't fair.

Go get a reality check.

Tell me what you think of the Mexicans working in the farms all day for minimum wage so that Americans can have cheap food and other products.

I am totally against it. I, myself, have never been covered by health insurance in my life. I worked, worked, worked...I did not commit crimes. Yet these CRIMINALS get everything for free, including SSA, SSI, food stamps, hospitalization...All because of the Liberals.
For a solution, let's send all the illegals back AND send the Liberals with them.

Tell me how they plan on funding it???

1. Taxes from the hard working people??

2. Business taxes, which, they would add to the products they sell so, we still pay for it.

Nothing is free in this old world so, take it at face value.
