I am 36 and the Marine I have been dating for a year now is 30. He is in special forces and is pretty much a loner (he has a handful of close friends). He recently opened up to me drastically and told me he wanted me to be the last woman he is ever with and me to be the mother to his children. He says he has never had the feelings of completeness till he met me and he has never been able to talk to anyone as he does to me. Everything he talks about is in "us" and the future and he is very considerate of my feelings. He wants me to move in with him so he will never have to be without me. So my question to you is, does it sound to you as if he will be proposing to me soon? I mean that would be great but I do not want to rush it yet I would love for him to...Any real men with a good answer out there

Well, I'm 31 and I'm a Marine as well. I don't know either of you, but if what you said about what he said is true, then it may be. I know I'm looking for that special someone too. One question you have to ask yourself first is, Are you willing to accept the military lifestyle and the possibility of him being called away for long periods of time? Or even simply getting transfered to another base. The fact that he has a "handfull of close friends" like you said, tells me that he's picky as to who he associates with, which is a good thing most of the time. If he wants to include you in that close group I think you may have meet his expectations. And for someone who is picky (even like myself) that's hard to come by. So when you find it, you don't want to let it go. Hope this helps, and God Bless.

I think there is a very good chance he could propose but don't expect it. He sounds like he really means it, and if you have feelings for him too, you should move in and take things as they come.

i dont know if he will propose soon but it sounds like he is very serious --- get to know each other a bit better --- it cant hurt and you can then use those events to keep falling in love later on --- my best wishes to both of you

But don't make any rash decisions due to his rush of emotion.
