I know of 3 couples who have married in Catholic Church rose garden inside the grounds of my local Church!
Call around to see if that could be a option for you?

Unfortunately, in the Catholic Church, it is an absolute must that you get married IN the church. And not just in the church but physically IN the church...not even outside in the courtyard. I went through this for my own wedding. Catholicism is all about symbolism and tradition. The Church is though of as God's house ( I know it's silly because if your Catholic, you believe that everything belongs to God). Also, most Catholic churches require a Mass...it is quite an ordeal for them to bring the Sacrament of Communion outdoors. I don't think it can be exposed without a whole bunch of rituals.
But that's just the way it is. My priest said that in order for you to be allowed to marry anywhere else, you need to get special consent from the bishop of your archdiocese and i didnt even bother. i'm not sure what that process entails or how people get consent. :( sorry

Hi Ashley:
Congratulations!
You will not be able to find a Catholic priest to marry you outside. Church law requires that you be married in the church. And, no, you do NOT need to have a Mass as the other poster said. I was married 30 years ago and even then I did not have a Mass.
If you truly want to be married outside, then it will need to be officiated by someone other than a Catholic priest.
Good luck!

I had this equal query! There isn't any rule disallowing a mass to be played external of a church (plenty are celebrated at the seashore close me relatively often), however the laws governing weddings can range relying for your diocese. Some enable it, a few do not, and a few depart it as much as the discretion of the priest acting the rite. I might both investigate together with your priest, or when you shouldn't have an officiant but, name the diocese. They in general have a quantity for questions approximately marriage/household similar questions about their internet site.

Per the Catholic Church, a wedding is a holy sacrament, and sacraments are to be performed only inside of a church. I doubt you'll be able to find one to perform an outdoor wedding.

There are no Catholic Priests. All the priests have left the Catholic Church. The priesthood is being reestablished.

I suggest you talk to your parish priest.
Although the usual practice is for a Catholic marriage to be celebrated is in a parish church, the bishop can give permission for the marriage to be celebrated in another suitable place.
For more information, see the Code of Canon Law, Canon 1118: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P40.HTM
With love in Christ.

You won't. Church doctrine requires a wedding be performed in a church. A Catholic would know that. You must not be very religious, in which case they probably won't marry you in the church either.
