When it comes to feeling this way towards the Holy Spirit after you broke a promise to the Holy Spirit is good because your conscience knows and is telling you that the wrong and feeling guilty about it is to keep you in line with yourself. This is for your sole benifit in the long run. The conscience is the one that you do not want to ever let go of because it is the conscience that the Holy Spirit works with.
If it had been the other way around where you had not guilt or no conscience about it, than you would be in big trouble. The fact that you feel so much in keeping good grounds with the Holy Spirit is all you will ever need to stay true.
Taking this lightly is something you should not think about doing. The Holy Spirit is serious and so you should take them serious.

That depends on your promise. The only unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. If you did that, then yes you need to worry. If you didn't...then you can be forgiven.

You don't have to worry about anything with God. However, one is not supposed to break promises with God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Simply ask for forgiveness. Explain what happened to God and repent of it. That's it. That's how you repent of any sin. You never have to worry about God going back on His word to giving you salvation, as long as you have put your trust in Jesus and repented of your sins. If you've never given your life to Christ like that, I encourage you to do that. God bless!

We've all fallen short of the glory of God. Ask His forgiveness and He promises to forgive us for our sins. We have a forgiving Father who loves us very much.

Because you are human and because you have a conscience. It's a good thing that we can be forgiven for our sins and each day holds a new opportunity for us to do better at keeping those promises.
