Ok, I realize that this is a sore subject and that many people believe that the west is responsible for all of the problems in the world etc. However my question was not about the west or about how the west is affecting Muslims and Islam. Even if the west were to completly remove itself from all forgein affairs, the number of bombings would be drasticly reduced no doubt, but that still does not mean it would be removed from the Islamic midset as an unaccecptable form of action or responce. The question is very specific. From an internal stand-point, how do you make it unaccecptable, and even immoral, for a young Islamic man or woman to walk into a crowded street and blow themselves to pieces, killing as many people that they can. Is this going to take an Islamic revolution/reformation in order to do this?

The problem I see with Islam is that it hasn't conceded to secularity like Christianity and various other religions have.

When you look at Fundamentalist Christians and Orthodox Jews you see that they actually accept some portions of humanist morality that contradict the teachings of their religion (e.g. most Fundamentalist Christians accept equal rights for women despite the bible being very strongly against such a thing) but Fundamentalist Muslims often don't give in to secular moral systems and instead insist on a truly literal interpretation of the Qu'ran.

Islam does need an enlightenment although given that the western world is more post-Christian than Christian now and is rapidly becoming less religious (i.e. Christianity is dying) there are good reasons for Muslims not to want to modernise despite coming out of the Islamic Dark Ages being good for the people (or at least their descendants).

Rape is faulty, no rely how the lady dresses. 3) Sharia regulation is unacceptable. it would not be used. 4) Niqab isn't required. some disagree on however if or not hijab is needed. some interpret the verse that seems to point so in a various way. i don't think of hijab is needed yet women and adult men could continually gown modestly. 5) according to what i've got heard from different Muslims, adult men could placed on issues that don't teach their finished arm and their shorts could be long, previous their knee. it is likewise seen to be extra modest of adult men in the event that they placed on long, dishevelled pants, a protracted blouse that reaches their knees with long sleeves, and a hat that seems precisely like the religious caps worn in Judaism. 6) those are some Muslims and that they don't mirror all Muslims. Nowhere interior the Quran does it say that ladies shouldn't placed on pants. it is not imitating adult men if women placed on pants. 7) sure. it is stated that each and every physique Muslims seek for as plenty know-how approximately each and every thing as possible. education is valued via many Muslims. however if or not women have those rights relies upon on the rustic yet that may not a contemplated image on the religion. additionally, women and adult men are going to have interplay with one yet another however if or not they advise to or not. Being Muslim does not advise that we could continually circumvent one yet another. it is especially people who're on the extremer area that believe that the two could be segregated. only because of the fact a rustic is in many cases populated via Muslims does not advise that each and every thing is in precise accordance to Islam. 8) See my answer for 7. 9) See answer in 7. 10) i'm undecided. i don't comprehend something approximately Pakistan. This is an interesting Question. I think their definately are problems in the Muslim world. First of all the intolerance among some nations and the corrupt goverments. It is often easy to blame the west but it is difficult to take ownership of the problems but for some odd reason i think things are changing now gradually towards a unified world. Salam!

By the way suicide bombing can never be justified in Islam. It is haram, they are sadly brainwashed. Blame hate, lack of communication or Lack of education!

"Peace be with you."

A young student ask a wise-man this question: "I do not understand why there has to be a day of destruction?"

The wise-man looked glaringly at the young student and said this: "Have you not understood why? The day you understand, there will be no destruction. Do you have any other questions?"

There is such suffering and Ignorance in the world! Man needs to come to an understanding of who he really is.
Some call this self-realization!
When man knows himself, then he will understand this: "Peace can be found only within God."

"May Gods Peace and Grace protect us all."

Amen & Ameen

**Just as I suspected, it seems as though man enjoys suffering and wishes to remain in ignorance. Well, good luck!

They've been fighting each other for almost 1400 years now over subtle differences in belief. It's only in the last 70 years or so that have given them the opportunity to blame their violent tendencies on the USA and especially the Jews.

There is a cultural aspect to this. I have friends in Iraq. They know families that have been feuding for decades. If one person offends another, they really know how to carry a grudge. I think they need to learn how to forgive and forget.

Intolerant governments?

Thats right...

Just a story...

My Uncle was once staying in Tehran, working at an oil rig... So this Muslim person comes up to him and asks to borrow a rather expensive piece of equipment - which isn't required for oil drilling - which belonged to my Uncle.

He never gets it back...

He goes to the police and what do they say?

"It isn't stealing if its from an Infidel."

Jeeze...
