I have two thoughts on this subject: 1) I believe those of us who have been born-again underestimated the power of the unseen evil forces inhabiting this world. I think we have a tendency sometimes to have a passive attitude towards evil, thinking that God will handle it. It is up to each believer in Jesus Christ to denounce heresy, beginning in one's hometown and writing to the elected officials. 2) Most of the people who are fighting to keep any reference to God out of the public are those who do not believe He exists. However, if they believe that God is just a myth, why are they so angry?

a lot of non-believers you find on this site look for ways to make fun of Christians,(just read some of these answers). It seems that they are either jealous or intimidated by Christians. And there is no need for that, Jesus is waiting for you to come home!

First I am married to an atheist so not all atheist treat Christians like they want to kill them all like some of the atheist here do.
Some of these people are angry because they have listen to lies and stories about people who said they were Christian but really were not Christian. For example if Christians killed as many witches during the middle ages that the Da Vinci code said we did their would not be a single woman who survived the Middle Ages! If we can that close to wiping out Humanity they would have valid reason to be mad at us.
All the atheist love talking about the Christians and what they did during the Crusades but very few people bother to mention that Islam was doing it's very best to take over Asia, Africa, and a good portion of Europe during that same time so a good part of the Crusades was done in self defense. (Some of it was our fault but not all of it)
If I had not have studied the old History books that came out before the free drug generation I would hate Christian's too.
And some of it is "Christians" who seen to think they are getting into heaven on their own righteousness, but it isn't about how good we are it is about how forgiving Christ is. We have nothing to lord over people.
There are allot of reasons many atheist are angry, some are on their shoulders some are on ours.

that would want to all be authentic...yet some atheists are indignant with God. I do believe in an emotional type of atheism (and some Christians seem indignant with atheists). i'd say that a sturdy area of atheists do not carry emotional luggage and dispute God's existence from a distinct position.

SO many people in denial. Hahahaha XD. From the responses that they have on YA, I'd say that they are either bipolar or simply liars (Suprise, suprise). I think that they get angry because they do not realize what us Christians are doing when we are spreading the Word of God. They take most things in a bad way (Fortunately, God has taught us through His Word, to look at the good in situations). A so called atheist would ignore the statements, but NO, they *have* to respond with derogatory statements. Forgive us, atheists, for trying to save your souls.

Whose angry? I certainly am not.
I am a little curious though, what do elected officials have to do with heresy? If they did become involved with that it would be a complete violation of separation of church and state. This is important for you, because another religious group could be in power and think that you are a heretic.

My sentiments exactly Not even sure what this wordy girl can add to your statement, other than to say you are so right on. Like on here, they don twant to hear about God, Jesus or religion, but they stay on here to hassle us , why all they anger? Just ignore us if you hate us. Noone makes you believe. Nor will God. PPl just tend to always amaze me. Athiest will say if there was a God , I wouldnt serve anyone who lets this world be this awful, He should just end it. Yet, when you try to show them a sin they do that hurts ppl, they say noone can tell me what to do , not even God, I have a choice. YEP, and so do all of those other who make this world a horrible place with horrible sin. And remember to God, sin is sin, not one worse than another. SO if you wont stop lying and stealing , cheatin on your wife and porn, whatever your little sin is, and you think God has no right to tell you, nor do we as His ppl, why do you think God has a right to stop the others that are sinning/ Such anger, an dnothing makes sense there. Yet they mock us and hate us and blame God for the state of the world Yet they wont let God tell them anything either and they sure dont want God to make them stop. Isnt it amazing how most athiests think, and yet they call us names.... I dont call them names and I dont call them stupid. I say what God says, they dont know yet, but we can keep praying for them , and then leave it to God.
I see they fight to keep any form of christianity out of schools, but believe their beiefs can taught freely and boy oh boy dont question their right on that. But, again they dont yet know God, But all will one day, we just pray its in time to still be saved.

I believe in God, the accuracy of the Bible - in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I also believe your argument is silly. You seem to be just as angry that atheists fight for their "disbeliefs". Imagine if your local courthouse had verses from the Koran or other religious texts - you'd be perturbed.
The government is a perfect place for religious values, but not religious theology.

i'm not an atheist but i'm guessing they're angry because the inaction of those who refuse to take responsibility and leave it to God tends to inconvenience people from time to time

They aren't angry at the idea of God many are angry because many try to force their beliefs or bring God into public places. BTW not all are angry, they are just annoyed or don't care.
