Obviously with out a male the egg is useless. BUT only to a point. If your budgie is laying eggs, you may want to leave them alone and let her be. She will eventually get it out of her system and then you can remove the eggs. The trouble with just taking out the eggs is she may continue to lay eggs or she may just stop. This could be a problem because she could get egg bound. (eggs stuck) So it's best to let her be. If she has a nest box fine, if not you may want to get her one. The eggs won't hurt anything and can be taken out when she is done laying eggs. She won't sit on them long anyway.

Others' responses provide sufficient information to your answer, however you may want to consider holding off on allowing your budgies to breed and rear chicks until you are more thoroughly informed and prepared for such an endeavor. If you were to allow the birds to continue incubating the eggs they currently have, there is a chance you might not be able to provide the care needed for the resulting chicks to mature into healthy birds. I would advise you to shoo the female off the nest and remove the eggs. Place the eggs in a freezer for 30 minutes to an hour, then remove them, allow them to warm to room temperature, and then replace them in the nest. (You could also just switch the eggs out with look-alike fakes and dispose of the real ones.) The female will continue to brood them, though no chicks will develop from these eggs. In the meantime, read up on how to rear budgie chicks, create a care-plan for yourself to follow in raising them, and assemble all necessary supplies for doing so. When you're ready to go, remove the dead eggs/dummies and your birds should soon lay new eggs to replace the ones they seem to have lost. Good luck.

Does it live alone? If so don't panic.. just like chickens keets will lay eggs just cause they can.Leave it in the cage...she will probly lay a few...they won't hatch so don't worry...let her sit on them until she gets bored ...up to 3 wks...and then you can chuck them.Make sure she has a cuttlebone available and supplement her diet with a little fresh food. She may repeat this behavior at least once a year so get used to it.LOL!

No need to panic. A female bird will lay even though she has no mate. The egg will not be fertile so just discard it. If she seems to be happy and safisfied don't worry about getting her a mate.

Do not desturb the female or else it may not grow. Most likely, your egg won't hatch without the male. Leave the egg with the female until the female loses interest in it, then throw it away

Leave the egg in the cage until she stops laying on it. Your bird is laying eggs because of your lights being on at odd hours...it messes with them and causes them to lay eggs.

Don't worry, it's not fertilized!

Well, the egg won't hatch, it's not fertile without a male bird around doing his thing.

You can throw the egg away, you can leave it with the female if she wants to sit on it, you can put it in a display case.... it's up to you really.

put it in a dish at the bottom of the cage. She may lay more and if you take it away she will keep laying them til it damages her body. Let her keep them til she is sick of them and just toss them. Make sure she has calcium, like cuttle bone.

its a dud...just let her keep it until she throws it out of the nest. otherwise she will be extemely upset and pluck her feathers.
