What is a nice way I can tell my boyfriend that I wish we were only friends?

Telling him you want him as a friend is , in my opinion, self-serving.
If you don't want him as a "boyfriend" or "steady", just tell him.
I have been given the "I think we should just be friends" speech and I was grateful...it meant that I could stop wasting time with someone who wants someone / something else.

just say it if he really likes you he will be a man and just take the fact that u like him as just a friend
