We have to board them for a trip and we can't find the paperwork that the boarding place needs... it wasn't a vet office that gave them... it was one of those low-cost pet store clinics... not sure if they even keep paperwork... so I want to get their shots again to qualify them for boarding. Is it harmful?

You need to get them again if you have no paperwork. There is no other way. Not ideal, but it won't hurt the dog.

DPT is for humans. Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetnus.

Dogs get a DHLPP or some other combo like that.

Over vaccinating can lead to problems later in their age. Even doing vaccines anually is over doing it.
Dr. Ron Schultz did a duration of immunity study and published it in 1999.

Vaccines are good for many, many years.
Another place to learn is at Dr. Bob Rogers' site. He gives lots of links. http://www.critteradvocacy.org
