I did...i grow to be asking that question just about 40 years in the past...I had a Catholic grandmother who made me question no count if Catholics have been truly Christians each and all the time as i grow to be growing to be up. fortunately, as quickly as I grew to grow to be an person, i found out that the subject grow to be greater her ignorant interpretation of Catholicism than an extremely "unChristian" doctrine interior the church and that i've got when you consider that been blessed to appreciate any variety of Catholics who truly love and persist with the classes of Jesus.

If we were to believe all that Chick Publications claim then we would believe the the Catholic Church:
+ Started Islam
+ Instigated the American Civil War
+ Assassinated Abraham Lincoln
+ Formed the Ku Klux Klan
+ Was responsible for the Inquisition known as the WWII Jewish Holocaust
+ Keeps every Christian's name in a computer in order to make persecution easier

I am astounded that anyone familiar with Christianity would have anything to do with that fraud and hate monger, Jack Chick! Catholics have the Holy Spirit for guidance, Chick has some other sort of "spirit".

Well, I'm Catholic so I'll say he's just interpreted the Bible differently, WAY too differently that it has offended us. We usually choose to ignore such people. His main idea is that the church manipulates the world's politics and has the power somewhat like the robots of The Matrix trilogy. Evil, evil us Catholics :P

Jack Chick is fundamentalism at its best.
Fundamentalism is defined as the practice of asserting the absolute truth of your own beliefs and practices to the deliberate exclusion of the possibility of truth in the beliefs and practices of others It is nothing but bigotry and religious intolerance.
These fundamentalists have this "holier than thou" attitude, which gets in your nerves. They always presume to know more about your religion and what is good for you.
Are they our modern day Pharisees?
How can I bring myself to love them? They resort to black propaganda and lies. Some examples of their propaganda.
+ The Pope is the Anti-Christ
+ The Church is the Whore of Babylon in the book of Revelation
+ The Church is the Mother of all harlots
And to add insult to injury they justify these allegations by saying we don't want you to go to hell which to my mind is a lot of ...

Catholics are the first Christians. All other "Christians" broke away from Catholicism for one reason or another. Now these peoples who protest the true Church started by Jesus and entrusted unto Peter are called protestants. Satan uses the rule of divide and conquer.

As a practicing Catholic, I believe in Christ. So I am a "REAL" Chrsitian.
If I choose not to practic Catholism, I still say that Catholics are REAL Christians. It does not matter how one practices their faith, as I believe, for there is no true way as long as we practice FELLOWSHIP in CHRIST.
