I've found it before, he said he would stop. Aparently, he didn't. What should I do? I'm 12 with divorced parents, have told my mom, and I love my dad very much. I dont want him to be taken away, but he is also an alcoholic (4 DWI's). What do I do?
PS- My mom said he's been a pothead sice 2nd year of High schoo. He is 44

There is nothing that you can do. Just keep quiet and stay away from his personal effects, that is his drawers etc.
You're only 12 years old and it is not fair that you should have to be involved with his problems.
If your Mum knows about it and she is happy that you stay/visit your Dad, leave it at that and say nothing, it will damage your relationship with your Dad.
Don't follow his example, you know it's wrong so good for you for asking.
Make sure that you are able to call your Mum for help should the alcohol or pot abuse ever make his manner threatening to you.

I don't know how your own mother let's you stay with your dad or how the courts made a decision of him being your legal guardian. I understand you love your father, but this is not a healthy environment for you. I hope your never in the car when his drinking and driving. Maybe you need to talk to your dad and let him know that he needs help. It's not good for him or you. I'm a mother and their is no way I would leave my child with and drunk driver/ pot smoker. It's best if you talk to both your parents together and if nothing changes then seek help from your school councilor.

I'd hide it, or switch the bags and throw him off, but that might get you into a heck of a lot of trouble. Does he have any friends that don't do that kidn of thing, and that can help him stop it?
Is it possible to live with your mom for a while, to get him have a feel of life without you? That might give him a sense of the weight of the burden he'll be carrying if he doesn't stop. Hang out more often with him, so that you're watching him most of the time, so that he has a stronger consicence not to do that kind of thing.

Its not the POT thats so bad or the alcohol, its the user, when it begins to get abused, and that sounds the case here!!!

heres my address.........just kidding, if hes a pothead theres nothing you can do and your mom knows too..you could talk it and destroy it but then you would have to lecture him on why he shouldn't do it and that could get messy,so you better start researching on the effects of cannabis
