Is it time for me to just drop this guy?

Me and this guy have been dating for a few months now. Things have been fine but he keeps kinda of pressuring me into having sex. I grew up believing I should wait till marriage.. not saying thats what I will do, but just right now I have a hard time going against that. He also never really shows he cares by doing the small stuff like just sending me a text saying he misses me. The little stuff is what I care about but he says I don't show I care because I don't do anything real sexual for him. Does this seem like a worthless relationship?
