I remmber it as horses. Something like this. . .
Hush-a-bye
Don't you cry
Go to sleep my little ba-by;
When you wake,
you shall have,
all the pretty little horses.
Black and bays,
Dapples and greys,
Coach and six little horses.
Hush-a-bye
Don't you cry
Go to sleep my little baby
When you wake,
you shall have,
and all the pretty little horses.
Way down yonder
in the meadow
poor little baby cries mama
birds and butterflies
flutter 'round his eyes
poor little baby cries mama
Hush-a-bye
Don't you cry
Go to sleep my little ba-by;
When you wake,
you shall have,
all the pretty little horses.

You will wear velvet, little girl
When you grow up, you'll brighten the world
You will take laughter everywhere
slippers of silver will carry you there
All the world, waits for you
and somewhere, love waits to.
Smiling and happy close your eyes
Follow your dreams to paradise.
Now
hush a by, dont you cry, go to sleep my little baby
when you wake, you shall find, all those pretty little ponies
pintos and grays, dapple, and bays
coach and six a little horses
hush a by dont you cry, go to sleep little baby.

I sing that one to my son.
Here are the lyrics I use (I learned them in a music class when I was in elementary school and used to sing it to my cat when I was little. :):
Hush a bye, don't you cry
Go to sleepy little baby
When you wake, you shall have
All the pretty little horses
Blacks and Bays
Dapples and Grays
Coach and pretty little horses
Hush a bye, don't you cry
Go to sleep little baby

I remeber it different than the other answers. This is how I sing it to my son.
Go to sleep baby child
Go to sleep my little baby
Hush a bye don't you cry
Go to sleep my little baby
When you wake you will have
all the pretty little horses
blacks and grays
Dapples and bays
coach and six little horses
Blacks and grays dapples and bays
coach and six little horses
Hush a bye don't you cry
Go to sleep my little baby

Actualy contrary to what other people have said the lyrics are actualy quite a bit darker I've been trying to uncover the real ones for a little while now. There is one major stanza to the song that most people try to get rid of and quite frankly it is infuriating how people are willing to kill off history because they don't like how dark somthing sounds. Here is the stanza that usualy is cut out or altered.
Way down yonder, down in the meadow,
There’s a poor wee little lamby.
Birds and the butterflies picking at its eyes,
crying out for its mammy.

The people have given you the lyrics, but I wanted to add that Fisher-Price makes beautiful lullaby CD's both singing and instrumental and that song is on them. They are in the baby section at Wal-Mart not the music section. My kids listen to the instrumental one every night at bedtime.

Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.
When you wake you shall have
All the pretty little horses.
Blacks and bays, dapple grays,
Coach and six white horses.
Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.

I fell asleep, or relatively tried to nod off, to my father's homestead-shaking noisily snoring. He became so LOUD you ought to her him from outdoors the apartment. I more suitable an early sleep concern via fact of it that maintains to be with me now. Any noise, and that i advise ANY noise, will wake me up with heart pumping adrenaline.
