Is there ONE honest Muslim here today who can admit that the Quran has changed many times? Come now. Surely you know the history of your own religion. First you have the "Satanic" verses that Muhammad's followers pressured him to discard, which he did. Then you have an entire "revelation" that was eaten by a goat before it could even be included in the final collection. Apparently the Quran wasn't enough so you guys wrote a bunch of other books to go along with it, which you also consider to be infallible scripture. If you ask me you should really consider correcting the scientific mistakes in your books, like where it says the sun sets in a pool of murky water every night or where it says that sperm comes from a man's chest. (Or did the word "chest" really mean "crotch" back then?) You sure like to lie about the Bible changing even though all the evidence points to its complete preservation. So what do you say when someone calls you on your lies? More lies?

It's all part of the scam.

Exercise for the reader: Invent a story, a poem, a song about a page long. Record it on audio. Memorize it. Now invent another one, but this time write it down. Wait a month, and then come back and try to write the first story EXACTLY as you originally recorded it, without listening to the recording first.

Which do you think will be more accurate of the original, the one you wrote the first time, or the one you memorized?

It's irrational to think God would shift from a reliance on literate Jewish prophets to an illiterate Arab.

Zaid declared in Bukhari:V6B60N201 that collecting the Qur'an's surahs would be an impossible task. He said that it would be easier to move mountains than to turn Muhammad's string of oral recitals into a book. The reason for this rather troubling statement is obvious: Zaid's search for Qur'anic passages forced him to rely upon carvings on the leg or thigh bones of dead animals, as well as palm leaves, skins, mats, stones, and bark. But for the most part, he found nothing better than the fleeting memories of the prophet's Companions, many of whom were dead or dying. In other words, the Qur'an, like the Hadith, is all hearsay.

There were no Muslims who had memorized the entire Qur'an, otherwise the collection would have been a simple task. Had there been individuals who knew the Qur'an, Zaid would only have had to write down what they dictated. Instead, Zaid was overwhelmed by the assignment, and was forced to "search" for the passages from men who believed that they had memorized certain segments and then compare what he heard to the recollection of others. Therefore, even the official Islamic view of things, the one recorded in their scripture, is hardly reassuring.

Bukhari:V6B61N513: "Allah's Apostle said, 'Gabriel recited the Qur'an to me in one way. Then I requested him and continued asking him to recite it in other ways, and he recited it in several ways till he ultimately recited it in seven different ways.'"

So there were at least seven Qur'ans.

Bukhari:V6B61N550 "The Prophet said, 'It is a bad thing that some of you say, "I have forgotten such-and-such verse of the Qur'an." For indeed, I have been caused to forget it. So you must keep on reciting the Qur'an because it escapes from the hearts of men faster than a runaway camel.'"

Bukhari:V4B56N709 "Uthman called Zaid, Abdallah, Said, and Abd-Rahman. They wrote the manuscripts of the Qur'an in the form of a book in several copies. Uthman said to the three Quraishi persons, 'If you differ with Zaid bin Thabit on any point of the Qur'an, then write it in the language of the Quraysh, as the Qur'an was revealed in their language.' So they acted accordingly."

In other words, the first written koran was not even in the language that Muhammad spoke.

Bukhari:V6B61N561 "Umar bin Khattab [the second Caliph] said, 'I heard Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam reciting Surat Al-Furqan during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle. I listened to his recitation and noticed that he recited it in several ways which Allah's Apostle had not taught me. So I was on the point of attacking him in the prayer, but I waited till he finished, and then I seized him by the collar. "Who taught you this Surah which I have heard you reciting?" He replied, "Allah's Apostle taught it to me." I said, "You are lying. Allah's Apostle taught me in a different way this very Surah which I have heard you reciting." So I led him to Muhammad. "O Allah's Apostle! I heard this person reciting Surat-al-Furqan in a way that you did not teach me." The Prophet said, "Hisham, recite!" So he recited in the same way as I heard him recite it before. On that Allah's Apostle said, "It was revealed to be recited in this way." Then the Prophet said, "Recite, Umar!" So I recited it as he had taught me. Allah's Apostle said, "It was revealed to be recited in this way, too." He added, "The Qur'an has been revealed to be recited in several different ways, so recite of it that which is easier for you."

["Al-Furqan," the title of the 25th surah, has no meaning in any language.]

Muslim tradition has it that the Koran is not Muhammad's book, but the direct word of Allah. If this is true, then Allah is an idiot, an imbecile who wasted his time before the creation of the universe documenting how Muhammad should discipline his unruly harem, and how his son-in-law would need to divorce his wife because Muhammad had the hots for her.

Your peddling a myth. The Sana'a manuscripts have not been examined so anything you say or anyone else says regarding their content is a n opinion and nothing more. The text could be a manuscript or historical record (of which many have been found) and it's not verified that it contains anything of the Quran. It could equally turn out to be a hoax.

It did get written down and then an "official version" propagated in the time of Caliph Uthman was produced. But its interesting that the Arabic as a script wasn't up to the task of transmitting spoken language properly.

Anyway they couldn't get vowels written in script (whether all vowels or just some I'm not sure). But not until 2 centuries later were korans marked up with specific vowels - so there is no real certainty about many of the words since those vowels can produce completely different words.
eg last =/= lost

Your post shows how little you actually know.

They consider the hadith infallible? Really? Many muslims don't follow them. The hadiths are recollections of people about Mohammed and it is often stated that they are never 100% doubt free, but those that are above reasonable doubt should be given an ear.

All the evidence points to the bible being many times tinkered with and i'm not muslim here...

For twenty-three years, God's words (the Qur'an) were truly put into Muhammad's (pbuh) mouth. The Qur’an was dictated to Muhammad (pbuh) by Angel Gabriel, who asked him to simply repeat the words of the Qur'an as he heard them.

These words were then committed to memory by the Prophet and his companions during his lifetime and under his supervision. It was recited back to the Prophet by hundreds of companions to insure its perfect accuracy and was transferred to hundreds more through memorization. Some of the first memorizers of the Quran were women and Prophet Mohammeds youngest wife (Aaysha) was one of Islams first great Scholars of the Quran.

There is a divine promise to protect the last and final revelation to mankind and this “book” would first be written on the hearts of the believers……. not paper. It is a miracle for all of mankind till the last day and a Mercy from God. To this day millions of Muslims memorize the entire Quran from cover to cover.

Was it a coincidence that the prophet "like unto Moses" from the "brethren" of the Israelites (i.e. from the Ishmaelites) was also described as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he will speak in the name of God., ( Deuteronomy 18:18-20 ). Was it also a coincidence the "Paraclete" that Jesus foretold to come after Him was described as one who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak (John 16:13).

Isaiah ties between the messenger connected with Ke'dar and a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sang unto the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11 ). More explicitly, prophesies Isaiah "For with stammering lips, and another tongue, will he speak to this people" (Isaiah 28:11 ). This latter 'verse correctly describes the "stammering lips" of Prophet Muhammad reflecting the state of tension and concentration he went through at the time of revelation. Another related point is that the Qur'an was revealed in piece-meals over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28:10 which speaks of the same thing.
