Yeah, I've checked out the website. I find it kinda funny, although clearly I don't "believe" a word of it. (I also found Swift's "A Modest Proposal" hilarious.) As we Christians have a verse "Do not be deceived; God is not mocked", I thought there might be a similar verse somewhere in the Revelations of the Saint Prego the Divine. Just don't wanna step on the sacred writings in any way.

No, I am not intending to sound as though I am mocking the FSM -- I just find it funny and it works with my sense of humor.

Have a great night!

I think one of the verses went something like this:

"Mock all you like; we'll make more."

Or perhaps it was along the lines of...

"Lo, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster saith unto them, 'thou shalt laugh and laugh hard, but laugh not whilst thou eats lest sauce fly from thy nostrils and stain thy shirt, for if thou dost, such a stain may withstand a thousand times a thousand washings and thou mayest lament for such was thy favorite shirt.'"

Sure. It's not like all Christians are creationists who deny the science of evolution (let along feel that it threatens their theism when in reality it doesn't).

So long as you realize what the whole purpose of the FSM concept is: to show the logical absurdities of creationism, and more specifically how the arguments they use to not prove "God" any more than they prove some other ridiculous deity one can imagine.

Of course it's cool to do that. It's a spoof and it's meant to be fun. I'm sure the idea of God started out when some tribal children lost their parents and wanted assurance that they were still being cared for. Just as imaginary! We can have fun with that too!

Good grief! It's SUPPOSED to be silly, fake and hilarious.

If you really think anyone's going to be 'offended' by someone laughing at the FSM, then you're rather missing the point:-

ALL religion is silly, fake and hilarious.
