Authority to act in the Name of Jesus Christ. Most any other religion can have claim to revelation and prophets (if only limited -- they still can claim it).

Authority from Jesus Christ is only claimed by Catholics -- who claim Peter as the 1st pope and Peter got his authority from Jesus Christ. AND Mormons claim that a resurrected peter James and John gave authority to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery -- again Peter James and John got their authority directly from Jesus Christ.

All LDS Priesthood holders can trace their authority to Jesus Christ through, Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery.

LDS church has the authority to recieve revelations to Jesus Christ's authorized church.

All churches that use the Bible can teach the truth of God but none other claim authority from Jesus Christ to run His church.

Because Christians say that they don't judge or w/e but if you don't believe what they do then you are wrong. It says so in the bible, i'd look it up quick but it's like 4 in the morning and I don't want to. In my experience though, Mormons are nicer and more generous, maybe Christians are jealous. Many people diss Mormons, but they don't know what the religion is about, they know nothing. I dated a Mormon and they read the same bible as Christians but they also have the book of Mormon. People need to get things straight, if you want to learn about LDS then read the book of Mormon as well as the bible. I want to add in that the whole more then one wife thing, it rarely happens, they do seem to have a lot of children though. Someone also said that it's because they created their own book, but didn't Christians create the bible?

Truth can be found in most churches and religions...
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truest... but not as in true or false. True as in true north. It has all the ordinances [and priesthood authority to perfom them] necessary for the salvation and exaltation of men [and women] and it also contains a fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I won't get into a long history lesson here to demonstrate how priesthood authority was lost among greedy & power hungry men [cardinal richlou comes to mind -- and yes, i know the spelling is incorrect]. Mormons believe the priesthood of Aaron was restored by a resurrected John the baptist and the Melchizedek priesthood was restored by Peter, James and John [again, resurrected] by the laying on of hands - hence a restoration of priesthood power & authority on earth. Modern revelation and prophets goes hand in hand -- a prophet first and foremost testifies of Christ - secondly, he gives direction to the church and saints [which is very comforting in a world where the teachings and doctrines of men change regularly].
Thanks for the question.

All of the above.

These things existed in the early church. They even existed during Christ's lifetime, so there's no reason to think they wouldn't exist now. Especially in a time when evil has such a strong hold on the world, and so many are left confused.

A rabbi once told me that no one chooses the second best religion. This applies to everyone including the LDS church. They do claim to be the 1 true church but so do a lot of other people.

To be a Christian you need to have faith that Christ is your savior. The LDS church believes that Christ is Satan's brother and nothing more than that. They don't believe in the Triune God, nor do they believe in "Heaven" per say. They believe that if they lived a "righteous life" according to what MAN says, that they will have their own planet to rule. That alone is the furthest thing from Christianity that you can get.

Gotta tell you, I loved seeing Christmas eve and not A SINGLE car around the LDS churches, but you couldn't even MOVE on the street because it was so packed at the State Liquor store! Saw all of this going to the Christmas eve service at the church I went to at the time.

Go to LDS.org It will answer all of your questions. And to whoever said we believe in the "Spirit Mother"... who the heck is that? I have never even heard of the spirit mother. And we are Christian. I've been Mormon my whole life, I believe in Christ with all my heart, and you think I would know more about my religion than those who aren't in it... don't you think?

I would prefer to call it the fullness of the Gospel. I have everything other churches started with, and then is added the further light and knowledge.

All of the above, and then some. I would go into details, but I want to make sure that you are serious about this, before I waste my breath.

All of the above!

To all those that say we aren't Christians, you are so wrong! To be a Christian you must believe in Christ!
