every month or so I have this dream where i have to get my arm amputated, but no one will tell me why. they keep trying to get me to sign this form that says they can do it. And I refuse, my parents get irrated with me and leave me in this clinic place. As they leave a guy from my class walks in and says " there is going to come a time in your life whene you wont be able to count on other people and your going to have to do things on your own." as he is saying this, a steel door is shutting if front of him, locking me in this clinic then I wake up. My pastor from church has given me some ideas but i still dont feel confident about it.

It seems to me that it is a seperation anxiety dream.Stress can cause these dreams stress about moving forward in age and what all that entails.Such as a minor would have simiular meaning dreams if they were going away to camp.Or a teenager graduating high school and getting ready to go off to college would have these dreams.
Seperation anxiety mixed in with making one's own decisions can be a scarey thing.Find the root of what is causing you to feel this way and that may help you to form ways to deal with why you are worrying...

Hope That Helps,

Remember that the symbols in dreams represent not actual events but that your unconscious mind is trying to communicate something to you and the only way it can is through pictures and symbols in your dreams. Repeated dreams mean that your unconscious is trying to tell you something important and trying to get your attention and get you to realize the message behind it. Other people in your dreams represent aspects of yourself that remind you of the persons. Your parents in a dream indicates your feelings about authority and either your submission or your rejection of it. Amputation represents a situation that you have been ignoring and has finally reached a crisis point. In particular, to dream that your arm is amputated, suggests that you lack motivation to do anything about changing things. The classmate in your dream represents your higher self and locked out those who always do things for you, and is saying what your unconcious mind wants you to know and it is the crux of the whole dream: "there is going to come a time in your life whene you wont be able to count on other people and your going to have to do things on your own." In other words, you need to get off your scared little person attitude and start doing it now. You have been dependent on other people to make your decisions or take care of your issues for you, and you are not a little kid any more. This may or may not be the interpretation. You are the best interpreter of your own dreams think about what each of the symbols mean to you.

This is what your dream is about. Getting your arm amputated represents losing your authority and strength to accomplish your goals is life. Someone or people are trying to get you to commit to giving up personal freedoms in your life. The guy in your class represents a voice of reason letting you know not to put your trust in people, but rather you have authority to accomplish you on goals. Steel door represents an obstacle which wants to shut out the voice of reason to you and keep you locked up in bondage. Like I said earlier, it seems like you feel forced by others to make some decisions which you don't want to. But your dream is show you that you have the capability to overcome the obstacles in your life.

which arm...the right arm is rational and the left is emotional...so depending on what arm it is it could mean something entirely different...so lets try approaching this from what mom and dad want cut out of your life...the try the arm side thing...and if you dont do it you risk abandonment to the system...and then all the social networks fall into play on this one...this entails a fear of risk of the loss of your social safety net...school, family, church, and institutional...so what is it mom and dad want you to cut loose
