Thanks to a magazine article, I rececently became aware of the fact thyat I was synesthetic, when I was little I thought it was normal to taste colors but as as a teenager I thought I was crazy or something so I never spoke to anyone about it anymore until I read that article, but somewhere in the article it said something like "People who have this disorder...." ... DISORDER?? Synesthesia considered A DISORDER??

Yes, it's a disorder in terms of normal sense responses, but that doesn't make it negative, just unusual. It's probably just a little glitch in your brain "wiring". Nothing to worry about, nothing to be ashamed about, and it doesn't mean you're crazy! If you were blindfolded, could you actually tell what a color is by tasting it, or do you just get a taste sensation when you look at a color? Do you find some colors especially pleasant or unpleasant because of the taste sensations you get?
