Products:
Use products that are made especially for curly hair. You need shampooand conditioner that will enhance, support and protect your style and natural curly hair rather then weigh them down.
e.g Short Sexy Hair products have dual uses, perfect for creating casual work styles or funky weekend looks. The high impact results create unique, individual styles for every hair type.
In general, this hair style product is used for moulding, sculpting, and creating a shiny, wet-look effect. Styling gel is ideal for wash and wear styles, gel can be used on wet or dry hair. It also gives thin, fine hair a thicker look, but avoid using too much or it make the hair too heavy and will remove the volume from your style. You can use styling gel to create a slicked-back style on short hair.
Products:
n-fruizon ™ Medium Hold Spray Gel- Natural Product
Joico Medium Hold Styling Gel
Curl Friends Control Gel for Curly Hair
Nioxin Liquid Styling Gel for Fine Hair
Note: when curls are done use lots of hair spray.

accessories:
Use lots of bobbie pins to hold the curls in place.
methods:
Resist the temptation to wash your hair every day. It's fine to rinseit daily but curly hair should be shampooed once or twice per week if possible (This fact depends on your curls type, shampoo and its PH value). That's because naturally curly hair is the result of the waythat proteins in you hair called sulfides bond (disulfide bonds). If you shampoo regularly then you remove some of those sulfides and your curls tend to straighten a bit as a result.
Let your hair dry naturally if you have the time. If you are going to use a blow dryer then use a diffuser so your curls don't get packed down too tight.

i just recently cut my hair.
it was very long, so i decided to make a drastic change.
i cut it a little shorter than my shoulders. i had cut it one length.
(bad idea) my hair is wavy so i looked really bad.
then i decided to get layers. i just put mousse on and straighten my bangs. i hav no complaints. and plus, people told me that i look younger. : )
good luck!
