A friend removed the card from a bunch of flowers sent to his girlfriend by her employers, for working overtime to meet targets. and substituted his own. two days later she found out! i've never heard a 23 year old use such language! Not ladylike. dangerous things flowers.

I love flowers. And some boys don't know how to handle a sweet and romantic situations like giving out flowers. Try dealing with a "MAN".
Trivia: A true "MAN" can wear a pink t-shirt without giving a fuzz about it.

You don't say how old you two are, but I suspect, very young...
Remind him that giving a gift isn't about the giver - its about pleasing the one you care about. A flower(s) (and you don't have to spend a bundle...) is a simple and inexpensive manner in which to do it really, so surprised he isn't getting that message.
He needs some lessons in romance I would surmise...

You don't need a man to get nice flowers (although I know it's nice every once in a while).
Treat yourself and buy yourself a beautiful bunch of roses - tell yourself 'I'm worth it'.
Then when your boyfriend sees them let's hope he gets the hint!

though i once sent a big bunch of flowers to a girlfriend it was the first time a man had sent her flowers...which was a feather in my cap lol...she sent me a text to say thank you it had about a hundred "thank yous" and a thousand "x's" lol....happy days
