You go to the website of the city/county/state that runs the jail.

Most jails have a website. You can find it easier if you know the county and state, and of coarse the name of the inmate.

u can go to yahoo search type in "DOC ___(the state)___" the site should come up(thats for prison)

... if the person is just in holding you'd have to contact your local jail....

go to google and type in whatever state you live in and then department of corrections... you will see an inmate lookup...
