Third year of a child is the stage where the child becomes really cute, cuddly and very2 naughty.
As parents, they would want to enjoy their son/daughter as a baby because soon--might be even sooner that this kid would want to be independent and won't even kiss nor hug their parents anymore.
Here in my country, Philippines, we are very much attached with our families. It's a culture thing. We enjoy being with them and as children-we use to "always" want their attention night and day.

All my kids have slept with us. My four year still seems to end up there by morning. Still five in the bed is getting crowded. don't know what your laws are but there shouldn't be a law against cuddling your kids.
