I am a Christian, and I do do that. I never discuss it, at all. If the subject comes up. Be sure that I will not discuss it.
It is a private matter, and that what it should be. private.

This is the most I ever discuss it.

depends on the context in which the discussion is being had. if it is talking about sex for the sake of talking about sex...it is a bit uncomfortable discussing things that are to be sacred (and yes, sex between a man and wife should be sacred). Demeaning sacred things is always uncomfortable for those who hold such a thing sacred.

Now, discussing it in teaching arena...can be difficult...because..again...sacred subject...and teaching it possibly to people who don't understand why it is to be considered sacred.

I would say that most of the time it is simply about being uncomfortable not embarrassed. God is in no way embarassed about sex...it is a profound gift from God...and it should be treated as such.

I'm a Christian and am not embarrassed by sex. My best friend and I talk about it quite often. However, there's a time and a place to talk about subjects like this. And God's not embarrassed by sex either. He created it for a purpose: for a married man and woman to enjoy, and to procreate.

It may not have anything to do with being a Christian, but more about thinking that such discussion should be between a husband and wife, and not between casual friends. This is classified as TMI (Too Much Info).

I am a very open person, but think some topics shouldn't just be thrown around. I can't tell you how many times people that I have just recently met have felt the need to share personal details...

I don't know about Christians, but when someone starts talking about sex to me, I have to wonder just what kind of pervert is before me. In a polite and civilized world, and among principled people, sex is, or should be, a private matter. It's not "shop talk", you know?

Where do you get your information from about "most Christians?" Fact is, studies have shown that Christians seem to flat out enjoy sex more than their unbelieving brothers and sisters!!!

Reply: Every 6 months??? lol Where did you get your information? lollol

I'm a huge critic of religion but its not just christians that do this. Really shy people do also. Even people that aren't shy but think stuff like that should be kept private (I'm talking about when a man/woman shares the details).

Only the ones who embarrass easily. Your accusation is quite general. If you ran into me and maturely talked about sex, I would not have a problem with it.

God is not embarrassed about sex - He created it! He designed it to be pleasurable and fun. He also designed it to be between a man and a woman in a monogamous, committed relationship - marriage.

I don't think that is true at all, Sex is a wonderful thing and no reason to flaunt it with someone you are not having it with

Most people are looking for attention in public when talking of sex

Insecurity IMO

I am not embarassed to talk about sex. There's alot of Christians who are, same as there are heaps of atheists and people of other religions who are embarassed to talk about it, and plenty who aren't. Depends on the person, I believe!

Depends on how it's being talked about.
If you're talking about the vulgar obscenities that roll so easily of the tongues of so many people today, that is not talk about sex.

God created sex. He does not mind if we talk about it.
