Not at all. God always knew they were there,.Just because we didnt does not affect ones faith in our blessed Creator. Everything worth knowing is in the Bible...Truth . The Koran and the book of Mormon are not worth reading since they are untrue rubbish.

Did they spontaneously appear or were they just discovered? Did they evolve from other things I don't care about near a different hydrothermal? I really hate to say it this way but this question is completely idiotic, since the bible doesn't claim to contain all knowledge and no Christian that I know of claims that it does. Furthermore, I do not see why the discovery of new life forms would make me question my belief in a God who created all things. Think man, it isn't that tough.

To me personally that is not a big deal. I know that God is the Creator. He works in mysterious ways and if He is able to speak this universe to its existence He can have some new life forms here and there too.
The Bible is not a science book. And science is not the only way of knowing.

You are very young, aren't you? Don't you know yet how thick the hide of a fundamentalist is when it comes to science and its implications for their religious beliefs?
Some very clever propaganda experts work for fundamentalist publishing companies, run fundamentalist web sites, and work for televangelists. They have a standard bag of tricks (I've been studying lately, preparing a presentation on propaganda and brainwashing) they use to twist logic around and make them seem logical and all of major areas of scientific research seem stupid. It would take a book to tell you all about it. A couple of them are listed below.

Who said I had any understanding of my spiritual mentor. I have about as much understanding of "GOD" as my dog has of me. Heck, my dog thinks she's in charge of the house and so does my other dog. Being dyslexic, it makes me wonder! Naww, I cannot claim any profound understanding, just a deep appreciation for my existence. In one of my songs I exclaimed:
GOD took two halves and set them down to find
The other half resembling their kind
Do you suppose we might resemble GOD
That much more when we're together
(No heterosexual bias was intended by the way)
I guess that speaks volumes for my understanding of GOD, right?

Oh I'm sure there is alot of information out there that you won't find in the bible.
However, salvation is not one of them. Neither is how to live a Godly life. This "news" is sort of interesting I guess...doesn't affect my belief in Jesus Christ, or the word of God...in the least.

I've noticed that some do...but there are those who will deny everything if it can't be twisted into some verse from the Buy-bull.

Yes it does! What an awesome God indeed!
Guess it depends on what you call worth knowing ... I'm interested in both.

Don't try using common sense on them, they threw that out a LONG time ago otherwise there wouldn't be anymore religion.
