I have a friend on 360 who updates the war on a daily basis. Here is a link to his page.

He also provides details on the actions of our enemies and insightful, very well written commentary. He is not politically or financially motivated, he only provides insight from a boots on the ground combat vet. It is well worth the read.

Another source is this one:

Here's my contribution, though it may not be what you're looking for:

Provides analysis, commentary, and news updates:
http://threatswatch.org/conflicts/war-on-terror/iraq/

And my one of my favorites of all time:
www.blackfive.net

It doesn't focus specifically on Iraq, but the authors were all former military and still have a lot of connections to people in Iraq, so they frequently have interesting updates that most major news outlets don't.

Here is a good site for looking at the insurgent casualties.. And the actual articals the news channels get from the forces in Iraq..

Might as well have alittle balance in there..

For years I've checked out Juan Cole's blog. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's informative, primarily focused on the Iraq war (though not exclusively), and may lead you, via other links, to what you're looking for.

He often summarizes what reports he can find, as well as discussing the political situation there.

I find him exceedingly well-informed and sane.

I read Defense Link daily which lists U.S. deaths in all theaters of operation. And European Stars and Stripes has a web site as well. Links are listed below.

This link seems to say a lot about deaths by terrorism. I think it is well worth viewing.
