blues describes every facet in life even though heartbreak is an important one it's not all that blues is about. Blues also talks about love, sex (a lot), travelling,... The life of the delta bluesmen consisted mainly of travelling and playing round the country picking up women and trying to score a buck here to be able to drink and there that 's why you hear a lot of these kind of songs but basically you can write about everything you think about.
