Both.
But make sure the Rum is only Captain Morgan or Parrot Bay - Bacardi is crap.
Also, if you're going with Vodka - stick with Absolut, Smirnoff and Grey Goose.
I also recommend Jack and Coke and Vodka and Shirley Temple and Jagmeister and a energy drink.
Furthermore, Long Island Iced Teas are not too bad eiether!

Both are two different things. Like pears and apples. Even you can permutate ingredients. Coke and vodka for instance is called Free Russia, and rum with OJ is a very refreshing drink called Rum Screwdriver. Try both, you would like it!

vodka&oj but if you want to get really creative add the rum to the vodka&oj it is really good you could also add a little bit of cranberry juice
