Cooking fish sticks for dinner and don't really have anything to go with it. Mac & cheese? Pork & beans? Potatoes? I don't have any french fries or anything like that. I don't feel like going to the store. Name something and I will see if I get lucky and have it in the pantry.

If you have potatoes, you could make New England Salt Roasted Potatoes

4-6 small potatoes--skins on
Pam
Coarse or regular salt

Wash potatoes well. Leave skins on. Cut in half and wipe dry.
Line a baking sheet or small baking pan with metal foil. Spray it with Pam. Sprinkle some salt on the foil. Brush olive oil all over potatoes. Put on pan with skin side up. Sprinkle tops and sides with salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick goes into the center easily--serve immediately with sour cream and chives or just butter.

On behalf of a 14 year old boy, this answer will hopefully be relevant.

~Divide you plate into three sections. Make a nice garden salad on one part, mashed potato on the other part and the fish sticks on the other part. This is my favorite way to have them!

~Do the same as above but replace the mashed potato with some nice rice (a handy trick is to fill a small bowl with rice, pack it in, then turn it upside down on the plate and you have a perfectly shaped rice mountain!)

~I thought this would be easy but this is my last answer. Cut some potatoes into chips (like hot chips) then bake them in the oven with some lemon juice and rock salt (a little bit of plain salt will do) and serve the on the side of the fish stick and put a puddle of tomato sauce on the plate to have with the meal. Yum!

I hope this was helpful!
Beau

French fries!! can never go wrong.. :) I would make some kind of salad, pasta or potato. Pasta is very easy Just need tri-color pasta and some italian dressing.. maybe cut up some carrot and add some dill spice. And throw in a little bit of frozen peas..

My kids like mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and applesauce when we have fish sticks. My son actually dips his fish sticks in applesauce - gross!

If you have potatoes, you can make your own oven fries.
Put some butter or margarine in a pan and let it melt in a low temp. oven. Cut potatoes into the size of fries. Remove pan from oven and add potatoes. Add salt and slide back in. Bake at 400 degrees about 20 min., flipping the fries a couple times.
Yummy!

Green Beans (cooked in bullion cube) corn, slaw, rice or Mac-n-cheese sounds good. Not pork n beans unless that's all you have in the house.

Sometimes we have to feed for filling...not for taste!
Good Luck. Juju
