Like everyone stated, a mixed drink equals two to three beers. Best thing to do would be a shot and a beer but that'll cost you more than the mixed drink if you're trying to get drunk.

To be more specific, 1 shot of 80 proof liquor has the same amount of alcohol as a 5 oz glass of wine or a 12 oz domestic beer such as Bud Light. Keep in mind that all alcohols vary in proof/alcohol percentage. I drink beers that are occasionally 9.5-11%. Liquor varies normally from 35% (70 proof) to 50% (100 proof), although most common types are specifically made to be 40% or 80 proof. Mixing the types of alcohol will only get you more messed up if you are drinking higher proof/percentage alcohols. For example, if you are drinking a micro brewed beer at 6.8% and shots of bourbon at 94 proof. Mixing primarily affects your hangover. Hangovers are caused by the amount of dehydration and the impurities in your drink (ie dark alcohols and sweet mixers). If you don't believe me try this test: drink 8 vodka sodas and evaluate your condition in the morning. Then drink 8 whiskey sours and evaluate your condition in the morning. Compare the two. The latter will be more miserable. So the bottom line is that mixing beer and wine (or beer and liquor, or wine and liquor etc.) doesn't get you more messed up, but the varience in alcohol content can directly affect your blood alcohol content.

I think that 2 beers is the equivalent of one mixed drink....but a lot depends on how much mixer is in the mixed drink. If it's a short glass then it's probably closer to 3 beers....a tall glass, only 2.

go for a liquid cocaine next time. That probably equals 3 beers, but most people have it right here. One shot equals one beer. Of course that doesn't apply to everclear.

1 screwdriver = 1 glass of wine = 1 beer. Unless U put a lot of alcohol & only a little orange juice in glass. Please do not drink & drive.

It really depends on the volume and % of the alcohol.
Some answers here are incorrect-be careful!

example:

A 285ml glass of 4.9% (heavy) alcohol beer = 285 x 0.049 x 0.79 = 11.03g alcohol

A 180ml glass of 12% alcohol wine = 180 x 0.12 x 0.79 = 17.06g alcohol

A full nip (30ml) of 37% alcohol bourbon = 30 x 0.37 x 0.79 = 8.77g alcohol
