Newsflash, the U.S is not a fantasy land where you automatically make tons of money etc. The so called American Dream is long gone, I think we need to help other countries understand this.

No it's not, while we do make more money then people do in other countries, everything here is also more expensive including a college education.

All you have to look at for proof of this is the difficulties that Americans have, even though all their family is here already. Do the research on costs, you can easily find out what things cost in America online and then translate it to your native monetary system.

For example a computer costs about $400 (this would be a very cheap computer) the average 1 bed apartment will cost $200-400 a month (depending on where you live, the cheaper places will be low quality in bad neighborhoods) college will cost about $8000 a year. Internet will cost $10-20 a month. You will also have to pay for utilities and food that will cost on average $300 a month.

As a student the best job you will get will pay about $6 an hour which will mean that you will have an income of $12000 before taxes if you are lucky enough to get a full time job.

On top of all this, you will have costs related to immigration, I have no idea what those costs are.

In the end if you are dedicated enough and have absolutely no life beyond school and work you should be able to get through it and end up with a good education that will lead to a good job, but as you can see it's FAR from easy unless your family is able to send you money, not the other way around.

I would suppose you would need a good education and get a good paying job. So maybe you had better do more studying and get some work experience. You are going to want to make $50 - $60 thousand dollars a year to get what you want. Working at Walmart just isn't going to do it for you.

LOL.....live at 17....pay your own way, pay for school, get all you want and send money to your parents to support them? No. Someone has been lying through their teeth to you. The streets are NOT paved in gold....everybody is not rich....most 17-18 yr olds live at home because they don't make enough money for a campground site. Barely can pay for a date.....even dutch treat.
Let alone all you aspire to do.

Somebody needs to do a reality check with these countries. It is a lie.

Easy is a relative word. Easy compared to what? Life in Canada? No. Life Cuba? Yes. Everything in between...depends.

If you work hard you can have a great life in the U.S.A.

If you are from some place else and come to this country, you will have it nice and easy. You will be eligible for help that people that were born here are not eligible for, yet we pay for with our taxes.

Life here isn't that easy, but most people who work hard here make good money.
