UNLIKE Sami D asserts, Sakarya is in the Marmara region
(gosh, I can't believe some people can preach out in here without basic geography.. duhh)

The city Adapazari is boring. Lake Sapanca is nice though

Sakarya is in the Black Sea Region and Sakarya River opens out to the Black Sea. It's a beautiful place and Worlds famous Hazelnuts comes from Sakarya area. You will enjoy it.

I'm from Sakarya...it's a nice town to see, if you get away from the city center point, there is A LOT of greenery. I like it, but it's not turist attraction by any means. Adapazari is nice, since the earthquake in 2000 they have redone mostly everything, shopping, parks, etc.
