If I give it to her via bottle, she will drink little. When ever she hears running water, she dashes to my room. Does she have a serious condition, or am I just over reacting?

She eats dry food fine, and she runs AWAY from running water not towards it. I've tried many different ways, and I'm frantic and worried, because she never drinks and cries all the time.

She won't eat wet food either, and I mean the special cat milk. I know enough not to give her cow milk.

How old is she? If she's over 8 weeks she shouldn't be having any form of milk anyway - hope you don't mean cow's milk, it's not for cats.

Cats get a lot of their water requirement from what they eat. Unless kitty is on an all-dry diet, you'll rarely see her drink. Cats also much prefer running water, so it's not surprising she comes running herself at the sound of it!

As long as she's eating, she'll drink, you just might not see it - apart from when drinks from the tap!

Is water/milk her only food source? Cats who eat a wet food diet, don't drink much water. And what kind of milk? Generally, cats should not get cow's milk. They're lactose intolerant. But I have one cat who'll drink it with no problem. My other cats don't like it, so don't drink it.

If the milk is her food source and she's not drinking, then you need to see a vet. If she doesn't eat after a few days she could become very ill.

As for running water. Maybe the sound scares her.

Added: If she's eating dry food fine. Then you may not be seeing her drink water. I have one cat (eats mostly wet though), if I see him drink water once a month, I'm lucky. My other cat is a dry food eater, and I see him drink every other day maybe. But I do have one of those automatic water fountains for cats. If I am using it I will see him drink more often. Once a day or so maybe.

Just keep fresh water around. If she's thirsty, she will drink. If she's old enough to eat dry, she's old enought to drink on her own.

As for not drinking the cat milk. Maybe she's outgrown it.

Cats are not big water drinkers and get their needs from their food if fed the proper diet. My 15 year old may take 1 sip of water a week.. Hopefully you are feeding canned foods without gravy so this continues

how old is she? if shes less than 4 weeks then she needs a bottle still but older than that she should be able to lap from a bowl with some ease. put a little on your finger and try to get her to lick it off.make sure she knows where it is and leave it in the same place everyday she will find it and you may not see her drinking.
