That is a question best addressed with health and physical conditioning authorities specializing in this area.

Metabolism is regulated by certain loci of the brain >>> the endocrine system already dictated by your unique physiology >>> your ethnic makeup and genetics >>> and of course the environment in which you live -- both now and historically through the family line, which again speaks to all of the above.

Many aspects of physiology go into metabolism and natural weight regulation, and addressing that by means of going the way of the digestive system alone can prove dangerous.

Quite truly the body needs a measure of fat, this is correct -- there is white fat, brown fat, and the not good yellow fat -- but when you say you are trying to "get fat" I believe what you really mean is you wish to put on weight -- viable weight, weight that can synthesize energy and sustain of this toward facilitating fine health and physical alertness -- youth.

Now, this thing of infusing primarily protein as a focus to gain weight over that of intaking a balance of nutrients and inflow and outflow of energy, in the way the human body did evolve to receive nutrients and elements, may have grave consequences.

If you want to put on weight, then you will want first to gain some knowledge of the human body, then some knowledge of how that knowledge applies to your own self-knowledge. This can be done by doing your own cursory readings on nutrients, on anatomy, physiology, and dialoguing with those who share this interest -- health professionals and lay people alike.

This will help the subsconsious to help the body to adopt certain preparations for what could be somewhat a shock or at least a newness, for the body likes precision, and has its own cycles, systematics, scheduling, and timing. To throw that off can pose difficulties indeed. You also have to ensure for yourself that you have no maladies and predispositions -- known and unknown.

With the right preparations -- that of mental, subsconsious, and those protocol that accord your body's native wisdom -- your entire system can then acclimate in a safe, deliberative, healthy manner.

One should think of changes to the body with the sense of their healing imports and health sustaining aspects. You well could put on weight, but do not attempt to do so alone without featuring those in this venture who can give input to avail you the proper knowledge and who know what they are doing from experience.

Eat lots of carbs, do absolutely no exercise, spend every possible moment lying down. This should get you fat and shorten your life expectancy quite well.
