William Hague was also an EXCELLENT public speaker - however, it is a shame about his politics and general uselessness as a leader.

Same for Cam, methinks.

He spoke for an hour without an autocue and only glanced at a note paper the odd time. It was the content of the speech which was important.

Hitler never used notes but does that prove anything. Maybe Cameron is just a good orator

During his speech, he made occassional reference to his notes, unlike Brown who needs notes for even short comments.

Who knows? But if it was, it was very well-rehearsed and written with the aid of professionals. They all do it now, even practicing where to pause and what expressions to use.
