then when you give them an honest answer and disagree with them they berate you and call you stupid? I just answered a question where I politely disagreed with the person, and then he went back and edited the question and said I had a low mentality and wouldn't go anywhere in life. What a loser! Can I report him for harrassment?

Because these people actually want others to agree with them, thus reinforcing whatever their view was in the first place. They're not really asking a question, just wanting people to agree with them and make them feel good for whatever their point of view is. The point is, if you ask a question on this forum, you've got to be prepared for whatever comes back at you. There are usually some positives, some negatives, and some just poking fun. So email Yahoo and ask about reporting this person for harrassment. People need to understand they may get answers they won't like, but might just possibly, if they gave it a chance, give them a chance to take a wider view and think about things.

Some people have their own agenda and can only tolerate those answers they like. Forget about them. It is annoying when it happens but you can't focus on it. You can't really report them for harassment as that would constitute continual beratement from the same person. One answer is not harassment. It is merely one person's inability to want to hear what people say. This is life.

Actually, yes you can report him. If not for harassment, then for misusing Yahoo! Answers. It's a question and answer forum. Not a question, answer and then insult people you don't agree with forum. Although there are a lot of people who like to use it that way, it's still a reportable offense.

As for you not going anywhere in life, that's laughable:) That's normally something someone says to an errant teenager, not a 37-year-old wife and mother. (Looks like he doesn't like to look at profiles before making his nasty remarks.)

He will already pay for his disrespect to you in another way. It will be more intense than this was for you, but he will remember this offense upon you and beg for your forgiveness. He can't talk to you because he doesn't know you, so HE will have to carry it around for a long time.

When you forgive someone for their offending you, you aren't letting them off the hook... you are letting yourself off the hook.

How?

By forgiving them, you are releiving yourself of the anger and weight on your shoulders that hurts you. That eagerness to slap him or throw something at him is never going to happen over the internet. So, if you forgive him, you will stop thinking about how hurt you are and will have peace enough to live you life as a more mature person than he will ever be.

Forgive him....you will be blessed later.

Some people just want to be right all the time. Just forget it and try another answer that someone will appreciate. That's what this stuff is about. Keep answering!!!!!!

Lol, I found the question and wrote an answer giving him a piece of my mind for being such an a@@hole (your answer was completely nice, valid, and not even *remotely* offensive!)...but by the time I submitted, customer care had removed it. Damn....took the wind out of my sails. :D

They're just immature. Whatever negative feedback they give is actually a reflection of how they feel about themselves.
