I'm a Christian, and I'm all for it agreeing to disagree and getting along, but you and I seem to be in the minority.

I agree with you 100%, even though i respect everyone's belief even though there is one religion only, Christianity, but if i had to share my whatevers with other religious or atheist people, i would chose atheist people. It's just interest to know how they think, no God, than what do you do when you need help or something like that. But we have to know, like you said the ones that are respectful that people are different and they have thier own belief, you shouldn't change, and who gave them a right do to so right???

I'd say that the first answer (from "Me") pretty much explains why. Just look at the miserable caliber of atheist who posts most often here. Great day in the morning, if the quality of mind found among the outspoken atheists on Yahoo Answers actually reflected the typical brainpower of an atheist, the philosophy would have died out from forgetting to breathe, long ago.

Okay Josh most religions have their die hard fundamentalists and lets face it they do no favors to anyone,Atheists like yourself are being quite logical when they make such a statement as you have, simply because a true Atheist has no axe to grind if a genuine Atheist, but the majority of `Supposed Atheists on here are actually not, but rather angry young people who do not know who or what they are.

That should be the way...but 'm not sure everyone is up to that. Some, not all, people just can't accept anything outside their own religion. I feel ya, I think the world would be much more peaceful if everyone agreed to disagree. Personally, I lean towards Buddhism.

I am friends with Atheists. I tend to get annoyed by the other religions on this website though that come on here just to mock the Christians. I don't do it to the Atheists, yet they feel the need to do it to me. [not all, but some, yes]

Are you new here??? Christians don't get along with other christians and you expect them to get along with other religions or non-religions??? Of course there are exceptions to that but as a majority of the voices here it seems to be the case.

I can certainly agree to disagree. If someone chooses not to have religious beliefs, then that's their business. I believe, but many people choose not to. I don't have a problem accepting that.

actually,I think that we are already "agreeing to disagree"
it sure would be nice if we could reach a common ground, but nothing is going to happen until the more intellegent christians take that "leap of faith" towards believing that empathizing with other viewpoints is not "satan's last trick"

I try to remain as open-minded as possible. I wish everyone (those outside of Y!A too) would agree to disagree instead of fighting with (and in extreme cases killing) others who do not share their views.
