I know it's hard to wait,
but there are good reasons
why the age limit is 18...
You're a teen, so naturally you
are excited about life and
wanting to make your own
decisions. We're not saying
wait because we want to ruin
your fun...We are truly concerned
about you making a bad decision.
Believe me, there are plenty of folks
out there to help you do that. Spend
some time looking at designs and
different styles of tattooing. Learn
something about the quality and art
that goes into a tattoo. So you end up
with good art, not a big mess you
have to cover. In a year, you can legally
get a tattoo in Connecticut...
With parental consent. 16 with picture ID.
Check into what parental consent means
and what it involves. Legal paper work and such...

No where legal, safe or clean ... It's illegal to get a tattoo under the age of 18. Anyone who will do it should not be tattooing, no laws should be broken since your skin is on the line. Give it time, think an idea out and look into Henna for a while. Never ever break a law just to get a tattoo or piercing. They aren't worth that much, I have both and have nothing against them when done right. Only go to clean, licensed, well trained professionals who don't break the laws. If a place doesn't check ID even though it seems minor do NOT go there, that is the first sign that something is dingy there. Wait it out and when you finally do get it, good luck.

-Even if it were legal you'd have to be 16 to get a tattoo with parental consent at the time of the tattoo and the shops approval to actually get it. Most will not tattoo a minor even if it is legal because it becomes a three party action and so many more legallities to follow and worry about.

In most states you have to be at least 18 or 21 to get tattooed. But being "14 almost 15" a parent or legal guardian has to be present and sometimes artists won't even give tattoos with the parent's permission.

I know it is not what you want to hear, but I am just going to say it. I think that 14/15 is WAYYYYYYY to young to get a tattoo. It is permanent...when I was 14, I changed my boyfriend and hairstyle every other week...there is NO WAY you know what you will want in 15 years. You should wait until you are at least 18!

You body is still growing, your mind is still maturing. Just give it time.

AND< most states, you have to be at least 16 to get tattooed with parental consent. IF you find someone who will tattoo a child, they are probably going to do very poor work!

One, learn to spell, do not give the excuse, "It's 'cause I am only "14 almost 15" years old," interestingly enough, that automatically proves you are not ready. Tattoos are strictly for the mature. If the law would allow a child get a tattoo, they might as well legalize Marijuana, remove the "no underage selling of tobacco" law, hell let's add onto the list, let kids start having sex at five! Just as everyone stated before me, just wait it out. When I was your age, I wanted a tattoo of a dragon on my thigh, tail coiling down my leg, one hand reaching for the crotch and the other squeezing my rear. Now that I think about it, that was plain and simply RETARDED!

Anyway, now that I said that, bow to the Vampiric Ninja Kitty! Or she will keel yew!

You won't find a place that will do it legally. And if you manage to locate someone who will do it even though you're underage, the work will likely be shoddy. Just wait another couple of years and get it professionally done. That way you won't have to go through it twice and you can save some money. I wanted a tattoo since I was about 14 but I waited and got my first one on my 18th birthday. Kind of a birthday present to myself.

Oh no you're one of those rebellious teenagers who is busy right at this moment turning up your nose at the oldies' answers.......

Listen just wait till you're 18. I also wanted a tattoo at 14. But what I wanted to get changed a few times over my teenage years. But 1 thing always stuck with me - a star (BTW, I love stars). So, because I "lived with it" for a few years & still liked it, I got it tattooed when I was 18.

Seriously, your tastes will change. Don't do something stupid that you will have to live with forever!

there is a reason why it's against the law to tattoo a person under the age of 18 without parental consent..you are too young even with parental consent..your body is still growing..wait till your 18, and once you think of what you want..give it a year before you get it to make sure that is REALLY what you want..i'm almost 100% sure you will change your mind..don't do something stupid that you will regret later on in life..

Probable at the nearest cow farm. You're not old enough to get a tatoo on your own. You need parent/guardian approval.

Sure there may be places that you can get one, but it's illegal if they don't get approval first.

the only way to legally get a tattoo under the age of 18 is by a court order to remove a gang sign, something drug related etc.. you can't get one even WITH your parents approval

DONT let someone tattoo you at their house you risk the possibility of infection, disease, and a bad tat, just wait :)
