I bought cloths in New York 3 months ago. did not claim back the tax at the airport. Can/how do I claim now?

I would like to have the tax on the clothes returned to me. Not sure how to claim it back. Am I too late as I bought the stuff 3 months ago?

I have a question of my own: Why do people bother going to New York? It's BORING there and the people are idiots. These are cold hard facts.

It's not a matter of being too late. In the US, you pay a sales tax, not VAT like you do at home - it isn't refundable.

Contact customs, they will tell you if you can claim it back and how to go about it.
