Albinos are the product of two different mutations (white face and lutino) in one bird. They lack both the dark pigment and the orange -yellow pigment. They are pure white with no cheek patches (and red eyes). The babies have white down feathers. Do you happen to know the genetics of the parents of this bird?
You may have a lutino, they lack the grey pigment but retain the yellow orange pigment. They are solid yellow with the orange cheek patches. As babies they are covered in yellow down. Lutinos have red eyes as well.
