I read somewhere that you should guide a sleepwalker back to bed but not wake them, why not?!

I use to sleep walk. I remember waking up with my head in the refrigerator half standing. The only problem with waking a sleep walker is that they will be disoriented. Now that can be a problem if someone freaks out easily. I would wake them in the light obviously.

The statement that you shouldn't wake a sleepwalker because it can be dangerous is a myth. The fact it that their sleep level is so deep that you may not be able to wake them. Just guide them back to bed; it's easiest.

You shouldn't wake them because if they are in a deep sleep they can think you are something in their dream and hurt you.
