Should The U.S. Limit Immigration For People From Specific Countries?

We know that people from certain countries are abusing our hospitality. A large percentage of the people from those countries create a tremendous amount of crime. A large percentage don't pay their hospital bills, or they make babies just to avoid being deported if they are here illegally, or they drive here illegally without licenses, or they drink and drive (which in many case results in deaths of Americans), or they avoid paying taxes, or they drink in public, or they form gangs, or etc..

Foreigners commit far more crime than the average American. Over 27% of all federal prisoners are foreigners while at the same time they are small percentage of the U.S. population.

Think of citizenship like the NFL draft.

The U.S. is the team all the players want to join. The U.S. has the first round draft pick. But instead of choosing the star quarterback, we're forfeiting our prime draft slot and allowing the dregs to join the team.

This type of policy is not how you should run an NFL team. It would result in a losing season every year. Certainly, it is no way to run a country.

The U.S. has already allowed far too many Hispanics into the country. We need a balance. What about letting more people whose ethnic composition better reflects our national origins? Specifically, people from Western Europe.

Already the government is considering legislation to terminate the provision which allows babies born here to automatically get citizenship. We must stop pandering to people who brazenly abuse our good will.

Well, you have to distinguish between the legal immigrants and the illegal aliens. Illegal aliens, by law, are not to be here at all. From anyplace.

Legal immigrants, on the other hand, tend to be a higher caliber of people. Just the fact that they respect the laws in immigrating vouches for their integrity. There shouldn't be limitations on certain ethnicities, just because of thier country of origin. But, there are limits to ensure that a variety of people can come here. Hypothetically, if the U.S. says that 500,000 can come a year, first come, first serve, then there may be a disproportionate number from any one country. But, if the U.S. says, 5,000 per country (using a rough figure of 100 countries), then we are assured to let some of everyone come here. There are wonderful things, from all sorts of cultures, that can benefit our nation.

ABSOLUTELY! We should carefully limit the amount of persons allowed in from Muslim countries or they will take over here as they are doing in Europe. Also, we have so many Hispanics that the Government has toyed with the idea of making Spanish a second language.....that is ludicrous! English should be the official language. Stop enabling them to live in America but continue to speak their own language. Stop wasting my tax dollars by printing everything in Spanish. To become a citizen you MUST pass an English proficiency exam, not be a felon in your own country or ours, possess a skill, not already be here illegally, and if you commit a crime in America you are sent back IMMEDIATELY! Seal the borders first, then ship them home when you catch them. Untie the hands of the Border agents and let them do their job without fear of arrest for doing their job. Enough is Enough!

Yes, we should limit immigration from the countries that have the most illegal immigrants in the US. Also, we should limit immigration from Muslim countries, and China as we are at war with Radical Islamism and China uses immigrants to the USA to spy on our country. That may sound paranoid, but it is a fact.

How bout we do this, we make a rule, and stand by it like a solid rock. YOU DO NOT GET INTO THIS COUNTRY unless you have a skill that is in so high demand that they cant be filled by citizens. And I'm not talking about picking apricots. We have teen agers and college students that can do that. thats another thing. All college students who recieve government assistance must work in the fields for minimum wage, same goes for welfare recipients.

DEFINITLEY! I say we hire all those people that lost their jobs to the cheaper paid illegals....give them patty wagons, vans, buses and semis. Create jobs for THEM and let them cast each one out of our country! What a GREAT job for them!

Then seal the borders and pick and choose who we want in and who we don't. We shouldn't let all these packs of criminals across our border without a consequence. Businesses that hire them should be closed down indefinitely, and they should be highly fined for each illegal they have hired.

They should also start fining these car lots that sell them cars!! And I ALSO think cops should be able to pull these people over and tow their cars away. It's for the safety of the public. These illegals should NOT be driving without a license!! They should HAVE to be able to read English in order to drive!

They are KILLING our population and they are creating their OWN baby boomer population increase, RIGHT here in America! What's that going to do to our population?

Well....they already limited legal immigration from certain countries due to "racial diversity". So yes....I would do alot of limits. Not based on race but who's willing to assimilate here and who's not.
