Only sometimes do I feel depressed, but it's not coz of the job. It's coz I have so many things I want to do and there are only so many hours in a day, so many days in life, etc. Plus I always feel a little crushed when I see someone I want to know who works there too. But it's not their fault I'm not someone they want to know, LOL, so I don't really dwell on that. I do end up doing stupid stuff though to combat the crushed feeling, like I try to throw myself at other people who I don't suspect will treat me any better than others I knew before who were just like them for friendship or whatnot. That stupid stuff I do sometimes causes me depression. But it is not like that kind people get when they are lying in bed all day wondering why they're alive, it's more like, OMG, I keep doing stupid stuff, and I better watch out or I'll have to go find another place to be.

What depresses you at work?

I'd advise you to NOT THINK ABOUT PERSONAL STUFF at work coz that's the main cause of anyone's depression at work. Anyone I've known who was depressed at work, I mean.

I have a good job, but sometimes just the fact that I am in an office depresses me. Office clothes make me feel like someone else. I have resorted to doing the best job I can, and then finding color in other parts of my life. If my job wasn't helping other people, and just overall an amazing job, I would find something outside an office. However, God gave me this opportunity so I am doing the best job I can! Sometimes it just helps to have something to look foreward to at the end of the day. If you have a family, you may just need to suck it up and slowly and carefully try to find something you enjoy more. The important thing is your responsibility to them. If you don't have a family then just keep hunting until you find something that makes you happy! That's just what I would tell my friends.

It's natural to feel depressed at work some days. Other days you should feel fine about being there. If you're feeling depressed at work every day, then you need to find a new job. Sometimes we have a bad day and we feel down about it. But you shouldn't feel that way all the time.

Used to at an old job I had. I thought I'd just tough it out, but one day I just broke down sobbing in the middle of my job. They made me take a week off, my psych put me on anti-depressants, and the only thing I could do was find another job. I'm much happier now. If your job is getting to you that much, you should start looking elsewhere for employment.

Im a student, but i do work as sales during summer and weekends. I think your problem is that your job is not of your interest. Find something that you enjoy doing and go for it. :)

Of course.
That is why I do not want to go to work.
It is very rare you find the work you like it.
