So, no one so far has posted a legitimate argument. Which is ... interesting.

There is no hard evidence to help either side.
John D, care to explain how evolution cannot work?
No one is going to sway your beliefs, which I do respect you for. The reason I am atheist is because I can't believe in anything so blindly. I deny the existence of a God because no one has given me evidence to believe otherwise. This does not mean if someone gave me real evidence I would then pull out my list of facts that disprove the existence of a God.
When it comes down to it, Atheists believe what they do for the same reasons you believe in God. It is intelligent to believe that this world and everything in it could not exist without some sort of creator. The same could be said for those that believe our lives have purpose and there are other explanations to how our world came to be.
As far as the evolution argument, if Christians would use evolution instead of fight it they could benefit greatly. I don't see why it is such taboo.
Ultimately, we should all let everyone have their own beliefs, just not give them the power to impose these beliefs on others.

The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.
--Tao Te Ching.
My own personal investigations have turned out that what everyone believes ultimately points to something, which is the same thing interpreted differently by every single person, even those of the same faith. And even atheists, when looked at in a certain light.
Religion is the attempt to define the undefinable and translate it into some sort field guide for living. This is fine with me. The problem is that everyone gets so caught up in particulars they lose sight of the essence, and ALL religions have done this. They get so caught up in their exact way they lose perspective.
The coolest, most stable people least likely to have crises of faith are those with a little flexibility in their views. Those who don't get all tied up about what version is right, are the most at peace. I think they're the closest to it.

One time I prayed to God asking him if he existed. I said "God if you exist give me a sign. If you don't exist don't do anything." While since nothing happen that means according to God God doesn't exist. So that is why I'm an atheist, plus religious people scare me.

When I was an agnostic I looked for a god wherever I could, and failed to find him/her/it.
I appreciate that that won't sway your beliefs in the slightest, but then in my opinion beliefs come mostly from experience rather than argument.

Wouldn't that be like an atheist asking you to prove that God DOES exist? The burden of proof is upon you not the other way around.
EDIT: Look at all the thumbs downs..LOL Can't handle the truth, huh?

Atheism is the absence of religious belief. I'll say your god exists if you say my little pink aardvark who lives on the dark side of the moon is real, and speaks to me, and expects me to behave, and sent son of aardvark to earth to be slaughtered for me......

There is no evidence for god. Where there is no evidence, no belief is logical.
You have no evidence that there are purple unicorns, and you have no problem saying they don't exist.
I don't care if your beliefs change or not.

For the millionth time, you cannot prove a negative.
Therefore; the onus is on you to prove to me that he actually does. Since I see no proof, I don't believe.
