He's probably just a very vocal cat. Some are. It doesn't mean they are in need of something.
I got an orange kitten (domestic shorthair) 8 years ago and discovered he liked to meow all of the time. 8 years later he's still meowing like a champ, at the windows, when I let him in, etc. He has a very loud meow, too!
Turns out he is part Siamese. Two vets have told me this, although it seems amazing because he just looks like an "alley cat."
That probably explains his meowing because Siamese (and others) are VERY vocal cats and "talk" all the time.
You will probably just have to put up with it. It's in his genes!

You may not think you are getting correct answers because there is no 'right' answer.
For 10 weeks, your kitten has been in a relatively confined area; that is all he knew. Now, suddenly, his whole world has changed. He is probably a bit frightened and scared. Perhaps earlier in his life, he was continually moved around. He may fear that is about to happen again.
And some breeds of cats, and some types of cats are simply talkative or mouthy.
In his mind he may simply be pouring out his 'thoughts'. I would give it some more time before drawing any definite conclusions about how things will happen, meow-wise.
From what some others have asked on this forum, it seems like things are going great, and he is healthy. He may get tired of hearing his own voice soon. You can hope!

Your kitten is probably just missing his brothers and sisters. My friend's cat had kittens, and every time you took one away from the group, it would start meowing like crazy. This lasted for about 4 months. Just give him time to get used to being alone and he may become quieter. Or he could just be a loud cat.

He's just a cute 'mouthy' kitty who loves to talk.
I agree with the answer of part Siamese and gave a thumbs up to the answer.
Have had all kinds,. yes, Siamese are quite the conversationalist. They talk and talk,.. only for a certain type of owner who loves the sound and talkativeness.
Don't let it get on your nerves,.. kitty's just probably happy and content and letting you know,..but, constantly!!!!

My kitten does the same thing. She won't shut up. So what I do is I get a string and start playing with her. It works! Try it and keep me posted.

If he's a new kitty, then he probably still feels a lil uncomfortable with you, give him/her some time.
Good Luck to you
