Ask about fostering. Your local humane society can tell you if this available in your area.
There are many families who adopt cats and keep them in their homes until they find someone to take ownership. Usually, the fosters will keep the cat indefinitely so you know it will have a good home.
You might want to go ahead and get the cat spayed in the meantime.

Where do you live, Kla3232?
I live in the UK, South of England, if you're local I will try to help...
It's difficult to suggest anything without knowing where you live.
In UK, I would say, try the cat protection league. They will do home checks before rehousing an animal so you can rest assured that the cat will go to a good home. Unless you are prepared to do a home check yourself and investigate any respondents to your adverts, the cat would probably be better off in the hands of the charity rather than for you house it with a stranger.
Alternatively, check your local vets. Perhaps they know of a good owner who has recently lost a cat and who would be willing to take on a stray.
Best wishes

Just keep advertising. Post flyers on any local bulletin boards (like at the vets, the market, etc). Try running an ad in the "free" ads papers. Maybe on line too (I have had my best luck there) . It would be awful if you had to take her to a shelter. Hopefully you can find someone nice to adopt her. Good luck and best wishes.

Try FreeCycle.org. They have local groups all over the country, and it's free to join. I see lots of listings from people offering pets, and they are usually adopted. The good thing about FreeCycle, is you'll get e-mail responses from everyone who is interested, and you can choose the cat's new owner yourself.
Good luck. I hope you find her a good and loving home.

Try and find a no-kill shelter, or contact a rescue group and offer some financial assistance to ease their reluctance. Reluctance, since most are overwhelmed already. I have posted a link that will show who is involved in your area. You pretend you are seeking a cat, and the groups will show.

call animal administration the subsequent time they ensue. they're going to come, %. up the strays, get them checked via a vet, and then put in a look after. Then they're going to have a shot at a kinfolk.

Change the "can't" part to "can". You may have to move to a new place, get rid of your significant other, or start taking allergy medication. Do whatever it takes, but you & this cat have bonded so there's no turning back now.
