Sounds like a virus to me. If it continues for more than a week and/or you get worse, get a chest X-ray taken to rule out pneumonia. If you are coughing then that is probably why your chest hurts.

The chest pain thing makes me think Bronchitis. You do not generally have a fever but in the next few days or so u will statr coughing like crazy. You have to go on antibodies for it otherwise you could have a cronic cough for up to 6months. I used to get it all the time. It is the worst cold ever.

More than likely you have a virus that causes things like the common cold or bronchitis. Treatment is just supportive i.e. rest, fluids. OTC meds for relief of symptoms). Antibiotics kill bacteria only...not viruses. HOWEVER, as a nurse I can tell you that anytime you experience chest pain you need to seek medical attention. Also depending on your age and other risk factors this could also go into pneumonia. Good luck.

Sounds like common cold. Take some over the counter pain reliever. You'll be fine in a few days.

Sounds like a cold to me. I am just getting over one that lasted for almost 3 weeks. Drink plenty of fluids, rest, take a decongestant if you want. If it gets worse or lasts longer than 1 week, go to a doctor for antibiotics. Zithromax works wonders!

take some allergy/sinus pills. that'll help bring up the rest of the mucus. it's definitely a sinus infection if the mucus is thick and yellow or green.
