how does a forgein spouse of a Canadian benefit from them joining the forces?

were a same sex married couple.my wife was thinking about join the reserves but only if it will help me get into the country quicker because money budget is tight.plus she wants to go to school.

it doesn't. her military service has no impact on your immigration status.

She won't be able to get into the US military. As an openly gay couple, it goes beyond "Don't ask, don't tell". Sorry! Don't know about the Canadian forces....
