And Jesus cried with a loud voice then yielded up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to botton; and the earth shook, and the rocks were split; the tombs also were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombes after HIS resurrection they went into the holy city appeared to many. There is no dead lying in graves The Jehovah Witness's are wrong don't believe them, your loved ones are alive in the Spirit World or Heaven do not be deceived by cults. And they can communicate with us.

Ladybird, what you say was before Jesus was Crucified for our sins. The minute he paid the price for our sins, we were no longer condemned to death. There is no death now only eternal life.

Sasi think for yourself, the tombs were opened after Jesus gave up his spirit.
The spirits of the dead, no longer condemned to death were raised up, they were not thrown about, they walked into the holy city. Or do you think the Gospel of Matthew was all a big lie, I don't think so, your Elders are lying to you. Wake up girl.

Let me first start by saying that Jehovahs Witnesses do not have a prophet that we communicate with, we are not mormon!
And if you actually read that little black book ie the bible, you will find many chapters that tell you that the dead are in the memorial tombs waiting till they hear their fathers voice, that the dead are concious of nothing at all.
So lets speak logically here, the bible does speak constantly of a ressurection of the dead, that the dead will be ressurected, now if when you die you go to heaven as you are saying, won't you be a bit upset when you are ressurected back to your body! leaving heaven and all,
And why would God create such a beautifull earth and I really do mean beautifull, because you have wildlife, landscapes, one beautiful country after another, for us only to enjoy temporary cos we are inteded to go up to the sky think about it

Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 5 and 10 is pretty clear in it's explanation of where the dead are. Also, John 5:28 & 29 speaks of a resurrection of those who have died. These ones will be brought back to life on a paradise earth - 2Peter 3:13 - Psalms 37:10 & 11- Revelation 21:3 & 4.

I believe every word that fuchsdis said.
Regarding the communion of saints. I truly believe in that also the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. There is no death because Our Lord Jesus Christ, paid the price of our sins. And I have just read that
Russelities changed the bible, now everything makes perfect sense to me.

This is what a recent JW book says on the matter: 'A comparison with the texts [Mat. 27:52-53] concerning the resurrection makes clear that these verses do not describe a resurrection but merely a throwing of bodies out of their tombs, similar to incidents that have taken place in more recent times, as in Eduador in 1949 and again in Bogota, Colombia, in 1962, when 200 corpses in the cemetery were thrown out of their tombs by a violent earth tremor.'
Although many orthodox Christians take a similar view, it is significant that none can answer the claim that those corpses came to life and walked into the city! Others accept this biblical statement as proof of the uniqueness of Christ's death, he who was 'the firstborn from the dead' - not numerically (for Christ has raised Lazarus earlier) but with regard to uniqueness and significance.
Jesus also said to those who scoffed at the idea of the resurrection that God is the God, not of the dead, but of the living. So those who 'die in Christ' are alive in Christ even though their mortal remains are lifeless. There is no soul annihilation, as the JWs effectively teach. God warns us not to try to contact the dead, however, so we must not be deceived about that by those who claim to be spirit mediums.

No,we are not to communicate with the dead, but the dead in Christ do spiritually dwell with the Lord after their death.
(Luke 23:43) "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."
Attempting to escape the obvious, Russelites change the comma, to say, "Verily I say unto thee to day, thou shalt be with me in paradise," but which is neither a faithful rendering of the Greek, nor does it make grammatical sense (what other day would Jesus tell him?).
As for where paradise is, "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. {3} And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) {4} How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (2 Cor 12:2-4). This is after Jesus led captivity captive and ascended up to Heaven (Eph. 4:8; cf.Lk. 16:19-31; Heb. 10:4). Because by His death the way into the holy of holies in Heaven was opened (Mt. 27:51; Heb. 9:8; 10:19). This is why "many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many" (Mt. 27:51-53). The Russelite explanation is plainly ludicrous!
Next, Steven being stoned to death, calling upon God, says, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit" (Act 7:59).
Then Paul says,
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (2 Cor 5:8).
Finally, the great multitude of Rev. 7:1-10 as well as the 144,000 male virgin Jews were all in Heaven, "before the throne, and before the Lamb."
And "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
(1 Th 4:17)

At Jesus death, there was an earthquake which shook caskets and corpses to the surface. The people who walked among the earthquake ruins are the ones who entered the city and reported what had happened.
That passage does not indicate some mass-resurrection.
(Matthew 27:51-54) And, look! the curtain of the sanctuary was rent in two, from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rock-masses were split. 52 And the memorial tombs were opened and many bodies of the holy ones that had fallen asleep were raised up, 53 (and persons, coming out from among the memorial tombs after his being raised up, entered into the holy city,) and they became visible to many people.

You are greatly deceived if you think the dead can communicate with us.
The Scriptures are quite plain on that. All you will contact is Satan and his angels. Christ even rebuked the devils who bore testimony to Him. It is to God alone that we are to direct our prayers and worship and with Him alone may we have communion.
Christ gives His Spirit to His own and they are always in His keeping.
Those not His at death are kept in custody to await the Judgement.
The spirit world is the domain of Satan and his angels. Those seeking to contact the dead in fact are contacting Satan's angels who seek every opportunity to destroy God's special creation.
You are very ignorant of the extreme evil and malice of Satan and of his power. If he deceives you into giving him permission into your life then you alone cannot come back from that.
Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven, some are held in chains or the abyss and others inhabit this world until the Judgement.
Obviously why it is forbidden in both Old and New Testaments.
You say, 'think for yourself'. Then why don't you. Any contact with the dead, if it were possible, would usurp access to God Himself, usurp fellowship with Him and result in utter confusion. The concept of free spirits floating about is not only ridiculous but is merely an extension of proud man's independence from God. It further strikes at God's authority and rule, and suggests He is in some way not fully in control.
That is way many in the Old Testament were defiled and polluted and destroyed for their confusion with Satan, through occult practices and communion with his angels against God's prohibition.
God's laws are for our good and protection.
What need is there to contact the dead if we can obtain communion with God Himself?

The Jehovah Witness's don't believe that anymore than two Commandments have to be obeyed. The two that Jesus said were the most important.
But Jesus never said to stop obeying them. In fact in Matthew 5:17-20 Jesus state we are never to forget all 306 of them, that Moses was given.
